On June 12, 2024, Ms. Reese and Mr. Repenning were in Kiel for the official certification event for the Internet ABC School.

Over a period of two years, the two regularly participated in continuing education events. Among other things, they addressed the question of how to teach elementary school students the media literacy they need today to use the internet competently and safely. The program is sponsored by the Institute for Quality Development in Schools Schleswig-Holstein (IQSH) and the Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein Media Authority (MA HSH).

In addition to Ms. Reese and Mr. Repenning, teachers from four other elementary schools in the Neumünster district were present to receive their certificates. During a tour, ten schools from Schleswig-Holstein presented the results of their two years of work in a poster exhibition.

The work with the Internet ABC learning modules has been incorporated into the Mühlenhofschule's media concept and will be incorporated into lessons in the third and fourth grades in the future.

The certificates were presented at the end of the event by the school board of the city of Neumünster, Lutz Friemann.
